A mild drama played out on Twitter on Thursday night, December 27, 2019. It was between singer Simi and a Twitter influencer known as Mazi Ibe. Mazi had tweeted:  “Simi and EFCC. The greatest influencers of the year 2019. They gave us Marley”. He also retweeted a tweet that reads:  “Deep down simi’s heart she for wan turn marlian but let me not talk.” This didn’t sit well with Simi who tweeted at Mazi, writing: “And I dare you, @i_pissvodka, to never talk about me again. Unless u’re obsessed or I’m really bringing you that influencer money. Because I’m just a little girl minding my own. Or next time you see me outside, come to me and speak ur mind…” She added:  “Let’s talk woman to child – instead of you sneaking, taking pictures of me, looking for laughs on social media. The gist currently trending on social media according to Instagram blogger, @gist247online, suggests that controversial 2019 BBNaija ex-housemate, Tacha is no longer with her management, Billz Vision run by singer Tiwa Savage’s ex-hubby, Tee Billz. Going through the reality star’s Instagram page, the management’s contact which was on her bio is noticeably absent. Tacha replaced her management’s contact with a personal email address of hers. Tee Billz, on the other hand, has taken down all posts relating to Tacha. Neither the reality star nor the talent management businessman has come out to address the issue. However, further investigation shows they still follow each other on Instagram.

Journalist, Kiki Mordi, has said it is a shame that same sex marriage is still illegal in Nigeria. In 2014, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, signed the anti-same sex bill into law, banning all forms of gay associations or marriage. The law places a 14-year jail term for any offender. Kiki who came to limelight following her Sex for Grades documentary released a few months ago, stated that Nigeria is on the wrong side of history for banning same-sex marriages. “It’s almost 2020 & same sex marriage is still illegal in Nigeria. Like two people (of the same sex) can love themselves and want to build a family for themselves just like you & I but can’t because it’s illegal for them. A damn shame!
